Jacquemus Revives Nike’s Lost Legend: The Waffle-Born Moon Shoe Returns
Share
Fashion house Jacquemus is bringing sneaker archaeologists to attention with a sleek revival of one of Nike's most mythical silos: the original Moon Shoe launched in 1972. Famously cobbled from a waffle iron by Bill Bowerman, this iconic silhouette now re-emerges as the Jacquemus x Nike Jacumoon, marrying a heritage running sneaker with high-fashion refinement.

Initially debuting amid Jacquemus’s Fall/Winter 2025 show at Paris Fashion Week, the Jacumoon stays deeply true to its roots while infusing signature minimalist luxury. You’ll see nylon uppers with the waffle sole, in three different colors, Red, Black and White. The metallic Jacquemus tongue tags and lace aglets give the sneaker an extra luxe look.

The Jacquesmas x Nike “Jacumoon” is slated to hit shelves in Holiday 2025, available through Nike SNKRS, Nike.com, Jacquemus boutiques, and select fashion retailers. Expect to pay around $180 USD.
